Great place for Mexican food. During Summer there is an outdoor seating area where you can people watch, and enjoy an outside cafe experience, completely with market umbrellas.

The service was awesome along with the atmosphere I had the fajitas it was very tasty the guacamole was fantastic!

Such a fabulous dinner! Moles were phenomenal. Drinks were all amazing (tried 3 - a jalapeño margarita, mezcal old fashioned, and mezcal tamarind drink). The coco mole and mole of the week did not disappoint. Server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu - making great recommendations. Definitely coming back!

I used to love this place, had times were I even went two days in a row because the quality of the meat in the tacos, especially in the steak were so good. I went back today, they totally changed the meat they use. They now use a very cheap cut of steak that has no flavor but still charge the same price. Extremely over priced now, before I didn’t mind the price to much because the food was great. I even confirmed the meat change with the manager just to be sure and she confirmed the change. Better off going else where If you want good tacos!

Ordered steak tacos they did not use a good cut of clean steak, also it was as if it was made in a sauce almost soggy, not really a good slightly chared steak piece you would expect in a steak taco.. And guac on the side please no need to contend with perfect onion and cilantro.. not sure what's up with the plastic silverware theme, so you can safely wash a plate and cups just not forks??

Great food with plenty of menu options for vegetarians and gluten free food lovers. The staff is attentive and service is on point. Well worth the visit if you are in the Promenade Bolingbrook area. They offer wide variety of mild to spicy salsa and several different types of mole sauce. Our party of eight enjoyed their meals. To check out the pictures associated with this review.

Good ambience, excellent food, great service. I ordered chef's special and it was special. Perfect portion size. Delicate taste and good flavor. Though i wish the tres leches was a bit less sweet. Reducing the marshmallow layer and eliminating the frosting would be perfect. I'll come back to try the others.

DELICIOUS. It was very busy when we arrived and a little bit cramped as were seated in the back room, but the food was worth it. We ordered guacamole and were wondering why it was taking a while, but soon after we realized that they make it fresh at your table side! It was fun to watch and the woman asked how spicy we wanted it and added seasonings and jalapeños accordingly. You also get 3 different salsas and warm chips complimentary as you are seated. I can’t remember the name of what I ordered but it was SO delicious and included steak and poblano mashed potatoes. Yum! Will definitely go back.

The service is awesome, the food is pretty good, but the portions are too small for what they charge. Skip the margaritas they are not worth the $11.00 - $12.00, not enough tequila and way too much margarita sour mix. The place is small and noisy inside with the tables very close to each other, so if the weather is nice seat outside and thank me later.

OMG I love the chicken empenadas. Their food and service is amazing. I have been eating here since they have opened and I love the food here. The price is great i mean for oh so yummy food I think it's very fairly priced and the atmosphere is wonderful. I love eating on the outdoor patio in the summer, I bring my 2 chihuahuas. This place is a definite must eat at. Oh and they have live mariachi bands too.

Good environment and services was good. It would have been better if server would have communicated that she was replacing a steak knife with a butter knife.

Great atmosphere, excellent service, and food was really good. Ingredients were fresh and tastes as if they make everything themselves to include tortillas, chips, and salsas. The chicken fajita was sizzling and the chicken breast was seasoned well and moist. They served our party of 18 with ease. Going back soon with the family.

Food is delicious !!! But management and some people working there are really bad. Starting from Eduardo the manager to the guy taking our plates away when we insisted we still had food on them , he didn’t care. We always had a very good experience with small parties but I don’t recommend going there for big parties. It’s a shame because like I said the food is very delicious.

Good food, fun ambience and excellent service...always! Alfredo was our server many times and he is very efficient, energetic & courteous. The table side guacamole is a must try, it is fresh & delicious!!!

If this isn't the #1 restaurant in bolingbrook I don't know what is. I've never had a bad meal here! The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes.

Place was nothing to rave about. Even though restaurant was busy, waiter took too long to serve us and give us our menus. When we did order our drinks it took just as long to get them served to us. Server was nice, just didn't seemed much prepared. When we were done with drinks, it was noticed that our server wasn't around to ask if we wanted more, and made it undesirable to order more as the evening went on. Drinks were blah. For price they charge I would expect something flavorful but I got was a drink loaded with sugar or simple syrup to mask the illusion of a drink. Food was good. No complaints there. The complimentary salsas had decent taste. I would try again overall, just for the food. Although my expectations will be set low. If service is the same with less traffic, then this will be a dud for me.

We arrived at this place for lunch. my friend recommended this spot. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members were extremely nice and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.

I’ve been to mago at least 15 times over the years based on my count maybe more between lunches and dinners.... and it never disappoints!! Unbelievable flavorful dishes, prime location, tasty drinks. This is the best and most creative Mexican cuisine in the area! Pro tip... if there’s a special definitely try it. I once had a salmon dish on special there that goes on my list of last things I’d like to taste before I reach the heavens list.... morbid list but it’s THAT delish!!!

Came for a birthday celebration and they were able to accommodate our party of 8. The complimentary tortilla chips are freshly made and served with 3 types of salsa. They also have table side guacamole which is always a treat. Now the food is a little pricey but the food is great quality and you you can taste the difference in the preparation. I enjoyed a steak with potatoes covered with a delicious sauce. The steak itself was juicy and tender definitely worth the price. And the service here is excellent, the server was prompt and checked back often. I would suggest making reservations because the place is not too big and can fill up quickly.

Absolutely amazing food and service. We always felt like being welcomed home when we came here. Even if you are not a big fan a standard mole these unique moles will open up your mind to the dish. Make sure to do the free mole tasting. Also a surprising selection of vegetarian options. Wonderful place for a special dinner and some of the most unique flavors I’ve ever had.

Place is easy enough to find. Waitress had checked on us several times and made sure everything was right. We had order the guacamole to start with was prepared table side and very quickly. Food was brought out very quickly. I had ordered the steak fajitas and could here when they walked out of the back with how hot the plate was. Will be coming back to enjoy this restaurant and try other menu items. We enjoyed the service,food and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Mario our server was fantastic, food was good. The managerial staff however was EXTREMELY disappointing and ruined our date night. My fiancé who had a lower cut shirt, had the manager of the store staring at her chest for the duration of our 30 min dinner. Cut our evening short as the person that we need to report such action to was doing the act. Unacceptable.

Small but nice place. The food is little over priced but I guess it’s probably because of the location. The food tasted really good but the drink sizes were too small.

This is a pricey Mexican restaurant, but the food is great. I loved my shrimp. Also, the special for drinks was $6 margaritas, which were very tasty.

Mago has great food! They have a large span of tacos that are very good. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was very good. You also get chips and salsa to start with 3 different salsas. The salsa all have different flavors and are all very good. They have a guacamole cart where you can see the guacamole be made right in front of you. I recommend coming here as it has great food!

This restaurant provides superb service as well as tasty menu. My favourite spot around town. The food came out quick and the rates are affordable. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Service was great. The waitress we had ( sorry I can't remember her name) was super nice all the time! The food was delicious, and with a very creative twist on mexican food! Love the variety they offer, and not the tipical stuff you can find at any other mexican restaurant.

Original recipes and drinks make Mago unique. I had a tamarind mezcal... heavenly refreshing. Then shrimp enchiladas, not spicy at all but they'll serve you three salsas separately. My friends had mahi mahi and Chihuahua steak both cooked to perfection.

Service is good and the food is good, I just find that the price doesn't match the value of what you get. I believe what you're paying for is a cute trendy place to enjoy drinks with friends without having to leave Bolingbrook. You are definitely not paying to get full. With that said, the empanadas were great and I love that the chips and salsa are free.

Excellent food, fantastic weight staff, comfortable atmosphere. Some if the best Enchiladas my daughter and I have ever had. She had Gluten free, vegetarian, and I had chicken. We will be back!

100% authentic Mexican food. Price is ok and food is perfect. I totally recommend this place.

A wonderful find for some great food and fun atomsphere. The service was great and the food even better.

An alright place to eat if you are in the area and have a craving for some Mexican style cuisine. The food is good but a tad on the high side for what you're paying for. The tables are rather close to each another so be prepared to be sitting pretty much on top of the people next to you.

Possibly some of the best fajitas I've ever had. I came at a weird time so the bar tender wasn't expecting a guest and kind of ignored me for a few minutes, but once he noticed I was there (I was in no rush so it's partially on me for not getting his attention) he was very attentive. Atmosphere is great, love the luchador theme. The different salsas and creative spins on different dishes also made this Texan feel right at home all the way in Chicago. Highly recommend!

I'm sorry to say this but I had the worst steak 🌮 tacos ever. The tacos had no flavor they did the order 2 times and still nothing. the only good think was the mix drink. See picture for the name of the drink 😊

A lot of outdoor seating. We ate inside because tables were spaced appropriately and employees were wearing masks and cleaning thoroughly. Food is always very good. We love the tableside guacamole. The margaritas are excellent.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Starts well with traditional tortilla chips with 3 different salsas. Had the house margarita; not bad for $6. Tried one of their Mole dishes (cocoa and chile sauce) with pork medallions. Super tender and tasty. Plantain and veggie sides (substitute for Mexican rice) were outstanding. And great service to boot.
